Privacy Policy
At The Lock Cottage we take your privacy seriously and will only use your personal information to provide the products and services you have requested from us. If you consent to us collecting and storing your data from this form please tick the checkbox below. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
Payment
All bookings are taken through our website or booking channels.
Lock Cottage only accepts bookings from persons over 18 years. We reserve the right, at all times, without a statement of reasons to refuse or cancel a booking.
Cancellation policy
If the booking is cancelled at least eight weeks before check in a 50% refund will be paid. If cancellation is at least 4 weeks before check in there is a 25% refund.In the event you do not arrive for your booking the full cost of the booking is charged.
In the unlikely event that we need to cancel your holiday we shall inform you as soon as possible and refund all monies paid to us by you, within 5 days of notifying you. Should the reason for cancellation be beyond our control we ask that you claim on your travel insurance or postpone your holiday to a later date if possible.

Damage deposit
A damage deposit of £200 will be taken at the time of booking, this will be returned to you within 1 week of departure by your booking payment method unless otherwise instructed and that no damage has been incurred during your stay.
Check-in/out
Check in is at anytime after 15.00 on the day of arrival and we ask that you vacate the tent by 10.00 on the day of departure.
Children
The lock is fenced for safety but children should be accompanied as the Lock cannot be held responsible for any accidents.
The stools on the deck at Kingfisher Corner are heavy please be aware that they could hurt you if they are pulled over.
Breakages/Damage
Please leave the accommodation tidy and let us know if anything gets broken, so we can replace it for our next guest. We will only charge for replacement in exceptional circumstances, as we expect a degree of wear and tear. If the damage is directly attributable to the guest, then we reserve the right to request payment up to £200 from the guest or to keep the security deposit paid on booking.
Dogs
There is a no dog policy at Lock Cottage. The address of the kennels is on our web page if you would like to have to dog nearby for going for walks.
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted
